This movie has not age well at all.

I watched the movie for the first time in years (Ok the last half) and my god this movie has not age well at all.

i watched it for the first time, too in years and it's still the best video game adaptation yet. the cgi is classic especially those aqua matter like substances. and sub zero and scorpion totally fit the character bill like in the video game. christopher lambert is good playing rayden. the body slams and k.o's are there. the temple of light in china is pretty ambitious to look at. the dialogue is stale but pretty slang too.

reply

agreed, this movie did not hold up well. Although I must say the final fight and the reptile fight were still pretty decent.

This movie needs to be remade more than ever.

Actually, I still love this movie!

reply

Nope, it hasn't. But what depresses me is it's still one of the best video-game adaptations. You would have thought in sixteen years there'd be more video-game movies that are better than MK.

Hitchcock: Daydreams, probably.

reply

Yes, but this story have happy end.

reply

Dude, that sounded like a fortune cookie. What are you referring to?

reply

LOL.

1. The broken 'Engrish' used by the TC ('has not age well'), and
2. The ending to some old-school Nintendo game. I can't remember which one it was, but it had horrible translation all the way through. Once you beat it, a message popped up that said "This story have happy end!" - classic Engrish.

The truck have started to move!

reply

maybe not. but it was out of this world as a 10 year old in 1995.

reply

i don't agree, it's still awesome

so many movies, so little time

reply

It's aged amazingly well. 21 years old? Wow. Compare watching a movie from 1974 in 1995 and you'll see how well things age these days.

It's by no means a perfect movie but it was well shot, good fight scenes, and nice sets. Probably the perfect Shang as well.

reply

I hated it a lot more back then when it came out than I do now, now I'm OK with it: it's crap, but enjoyable crap.

reply

no way..

story still holds up. it's cheesy and awesome!
