Any plans for a Special Edition?

While I'm sure the Special Features on the Unrated Director's Cut are good (I haven't seen this movie yet, but I'm looking forward to it; I haven't seen a horror film that truly impressed me since 28 Days Later), there are also two documentaries on the making of the film that aren't included, which are shown below Lord Of Illusions when you look it up as a title on IMDB. Also, another website, "The Official Clive Barker Resource," http://www.clivebarker.info/lordofillusions.html, comtains photo galleries and an interview with Clive Barker. These features, combined with the features already on the disc, would make a fine Special Edition. Unfortunately, the official MGM website didn't mention any plans about coming out with one.

I haven't heard anything about a special edition re-release of this DVD, though, like you said, there are some good features on the DVD already.

I highly doubt MGM plans to re-release this as a special edition. It wasn't a big money-maker, and we all know $$$ is the main reason that this stuff even comes out. I love the movie, but will most likely have to settle for the semi-special edition that has already been released, unless Clive himself puts up the $$ for a new edition.

On another note, MGM re-issued this same exact DVD in 2005 with new crappy artwork that looks like a little kid got ahold of Photoshop and went to town, so be sure and seek out the original, better looking artwork. They didn't change the bar code making it even harder to find. Most stores are selling the new horrible version, so you will have to find the original on ebay or something.

I would love if they released one. It would be great if they had a commentary with Clive Barker, Scott Bakula, Kevin J O'Connor, and Famke Janssen. It would be great to see the "making of" that also aired in the mid 90's when the film was being released.
