Why did they fast foreward through the credits?

I caught the tail end of Lock Ness on THIS. As usual, I got the "No Programming info message when I tried to find out. The credits didn't help either, because they couldn't go through them fast enough. Why should the Digital Institution expect us to Evelin Wood our way through the credits when it can't even update programing info after it had 2 years to figure out a way?

Kyle: It's bigger than Cartman's @$$!
Eric: No it isn't you guys

Networks started speeding up years ago. Since the credits can be fairly long on theatrical films they either sped them up or inserted a voice-over or video with various promos over the end credits because they didn't want anyone changing the channel. Its annoying because sometimes I want to know who a certain actor was, or about a song on the soundtrack.
