This was quite an enjoyable movie, but the end left me with a few questions.

1)why the big deal with collapsing the cave. It would be certainly be easy enough to find another route across the mountain, not even to mention what a helicopter could do... Also, why did he place the dynamite then go out and start shooting at the search party? What was his plan (before being caught by the other tracker)? It seems he would have blown the cave and THEN turned himself in.

2)the cops seemed to be looking only for Berenger, but what about Hershey? She was supposed to be gone for 3 days and the student who dropped her off seemed very concerned when he left her. It was never mentioned by the police she was missing. Wouldn't the student have contacted them about her after so much time had passed?

1. He blew the cave to give the Indians enough time to relocate somewhere else.
2. Yea, that was a plot gap.

This film pretty much disappointed me. Berrenger was great, as usual, but this was just another Indian apologetic film, and I haven't seen anything of true historical fact to back this movie up. Just really disappointing

This is going to bump an old thread but I too found the movie dissapointing- and I love Western themed movies, outdoors. But started a thread too about why no search party was sent out for Hershey. She was gone for over a week, maybe two or more and their trip was to be 3 days. I found the movie a bit inplausible and predictable in spots.

It is not an apologetic film but more of a what if and is it possible.
