Original Movie, Kiss of Death 1947, a Better Movie
Present Kiss of Death a very good movie. I enjoyed it. However,
the original Kiss of Death in 1947 was an almost perfect movie. It was
Victor Mature at his best acting. However, the movie is famous for introducing
a new actor, Richard Widmark, playing a vicious psychopathic gangster, Tommy Udo, who
throws an old woman (Mildred Dunnock) in a wheelchair down a flight of stairs.
As he does this he cackles uproariously wearing the grin of a maniac. This scene
alone is part of movie history.
This old movie is well worth seeing.
