OK, I didn't get it, could somebody please help me out?
Bev (Helen Hunt) is supposed to be Jimmy's (Caruso) wife - and presumably also the mother of his daughter - at the start of the movie. Then somewhere along the line, Bev dies in a car crash. Enter Rosie (Kathryn Erbe), who seems to have been around from the start, but is only now seen sharing a bed with Jimmy.
So here's the question: Who's Rosie?
Rosie is a caretaker (or sitter) for the family.
sharewell, i kind of got the impression, she had a thing for him from the beginning of the movie and I was even wondering if they had been fooling around too.

Which means she married her dead sister's widower husband (ewwwww)
They are sisters... Early in the movie after Kilmartin and Ronnie get into it the sister comes down stairs.... Kilmartin asks her did the noise wake your parents.
