Was Telly a Sadist?

I found the movie annoying, but one thing struck me. We see him deflower two young virgins and in both cases the girls are telling him it hurts yet he disregards their cries and keeps going. In the second case, the girl is literally crying and begging yet he seems to be pounding away like a savage with deliberately violent thrusts. Watching the first one I just figured he only cared about his own gratification and was indifferent to the girls suffering, but watching him thrust savagely into that second girl as she bawled and cried made me wonder if he was maybe getting off on her pain. Am I reading too much into this? Was he just a selfish jerk or was he deliberately hurting her for some sadistic thrill?

He just liked taking their virginity. That's where he got his kick.

Maybe you're right. I'm not sure. It just seemed that the way he pounded into her as she cried went way beyond merely being selfish and inconsiderate. I'm curious to hear what people think.

I don't think he was getting off on the girl's pain or distress... he simply wasn't thinking about it at all. All he cared about was getting his rocks off. Period.
