What was that weird stuff in the jar that Fishburne kept drinking throughout the movie? It looked sticky.

I always assumed it was iced tea.

Since the movie is set in the south, I will assume it was 'sweet tea.'

I always wondered the same thing... but i guess the guys above are right, the film is set in the south, so must be tea...
