Terrible

I sat down to "Just Cause" to-night, and I'll say, the first hour or so was very good -- the first half-hour or so, excellent. I loved the opening debate scene, the set-up of Connery traveling to defend this man from being executed, the question of whether or not a "town" was simply appeased.

At Ed Harris's introduction, the film started to stink a little too much of "Silence of the Lambs" (I don't care if that's unfair: it's how it came off), but I could still tolerate the idea.

As soon as the knife was found, though, the film took a turn toward trash. A mindless, anti-climactic, poorly-performed "chase/thriller" with every letter followed and every obligation met, without a creative spark in the arsenal. Awful.

Very much agree and to think Sean Connery exec. produced it.
