Can you kill the Jumanji characters?

I was wondering something similar. I was wondering if any of the game's players could be killed while playing the game. (For example, could the hunter REALLY shoot and kill a player in the game?)

Also, is it possible for the game to get completely lost or destroyed or rendered totally inaccessible to the players while playing, so it is impossible for them to continue and complete the game?

When Van Pelt first appears, Alan stabs him in the shoulder with a sword, but Van Pelt didn't even bleed.

So yeah, it is likely that every Jumanji monster is invincible unless you complete the game.

Van Pelt is invincible because no normal human being can have that many heavy paint cans fall on top of them and not have most of their bones broken.
