Am I the only one?

No, I love this movie too.

No. It may not be perfect but I still prefer it to Dredd (2012). Dredd is a better movie but Judge Dredd is more fun and much more strongly resembles the original comix.

I just wish both films could be combined.

The seriousness and violence from the 2012 film but with the set designs, costumes, and theme song from this film. Also, Stallone. I always thought Stallone made a perfect Dredd, he just should have kept the helmet on and maintained a foreboding, Terminator-esque presence throughout the film like he did during the first ten minutes or so when he took out those thugs in the apartment complex. Would have been an instant classic.

This version captured the look of the comics, while Dredd (2012) was truer to the characters. As a fan of the comics I prefer the latter movie as Stallone was a bit happy go lucky and couldn't resist showing his face either.

This movie has a lot of nostalgia value for me - I still love it, as dumb as it gets sometimes.

Nope, it's lit.

It’s a guilty pleasure to be sure.

The Angel family are brilliantly rendered, the score is great, fantastic set design, amazing supporting cast. It’s throughly enjoyable until the somewhat lacklustre final act.

It also lacks invention. Stallone escapes from being tied up by… slipping his hands out of the knot? Crap. Come up with something really clever and inventive (like McClane taping his gun to his back).
