Twizzlers: The Movie

Ever wonder what would happen if five “ 90s cyber-thrillers" are cut-up and their original audio removed and then they are pieced back together with brand new audio & dialogue creating an entirely different storyline creating an epic film mash-up spoof? Well look no further:

LOTS OF CLIPS FROM JOHNNY MNEMONIC ARE USED! LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!

I'll give what feedback I can. I watched this last night just before passing out to sleep. So I don't know how much help I can be. I now write this while walking up in bed. Hope I'm coherent LOL

I like all the movies used in twizzlers, and it had it's funny parts. I was certainly snickering at parts, especially knowing how the dialogue was altered from the original. This is certainly not for someone who hasn't seen the originals.

The Foley work was interesting, very silly, like it was never trying to be serious, much like the mash-up itself. The music was mostly an hour of ear rape, I didn't really care for most of it.

The editing looked smooth enough. I wonder if it was a challenge mixing up so many movies when it came to aspect ratio. It all seemed to work though. I really wasn't looking to hard at that though. The most obvious spot was on the end credits where the title for the lawnmower man was so obviously small. I imagine that was unavoidable as, if I recall, the opening of that film had a shrunken 4:3 aspect ratio. Not that I know much about aspect ratios, because I don't.

Overall, I want to say I liked it, but I more felt lost in the story and although found much humor in parts, I was really just waiting for it to end. Don't take that to heart though. Remember, I was falling asleep to twizzlers, so I probably would have felt that way about most any movie at that point. I think this is the first mash-up I've ever seen so I really don't know how I felt about it.
