Sutter Cane's Black Church of Hobb's End, 20 years later.

While on vacation in Toronto with the wife and kids, I figured that it would be so cool to go take a peek at the location where they filmed the Sutter Cane church scenes, in Markham Ontario.

Low and behold, the Slovak Cathedral of the Transfiguration. It is huge and magnificent. The church has been closed for 10 years and it it's somewhat still taken care of. The grass is mowed, the interior looks clean. Anyway, if by any chance you're in the area, go take a look. It has a strange and eerie feeling when you're there on the steps.

Fun anecdote: I've been there for 5 minutes and a car come by. I met a nice fellow named Alan who was even more obsessed about this strange church than I was. Also a fan of the film, he did more research and found plenty of crazy things about it and still haven't been allowed to go inside to visit after pestering the rich owner of the place.

Next time, I'll visit the Toronto water filtration plant which served as the asylum in the film.

Cheers!

The water filtration plant also was used as a location for a bad guy's lair in Undercover Brother.
