did anyone else feel bad for ice cream man?

did anyone else feel bad for the ice cream man when he explained how "its hard to make friends when your always stuck on the inside..." and also when the cops tear his ice cream factory apart it brings a tear to my eye. did anyone else feel the same way?

in a strange sort of way, i did too!

I did, because he was pathos-inspiring, being insane and everything. I found him to be a great villain because you feel sorry for him for most of the film.

"I've been living off toxic waste for years, and I'm fine! Just ask my other heads!"

I saw the movie when I was 10. It has ben a favorite ever since. Yeah, I do feel really sorry for him. First he saw his friend, the local ice cream man, murdered as a kid, then he was sent to an sylum which was pretty corrupt (from the looks of how it ended up later) and drove him even more nuts, and he never had any friends. Was anyone else creeped out by the scene in the asylum later in the movie? For some reason that got to me, and that music seemed a little creepy.

yeah i felt sorry for him.

also because clint howard is the man!

reply

Yeah, the ice cream man was a real tragic and pitiable figure.

I'm a totally bitchin' bio writer from Mars!
