English chants

What are the chants the fans of the opposition singing to the Shadwell fans? its also when they get hit by darts.

any other chants you can remember, please post them here.
I remember one the Shadwell fans singing, "You're gonna get your *beep* 'eads kicked in"

Best chant in the film has to be from shadwell:
"WE ARE SHADWELL, THE KENNELL IS OUR PLACE,
SHADWELL NEVER NEVER SHALL LOSE FACE
THOUGH YOU HATE US WE COULDN'T GIVE A TOSS
SHADWELL ALWAYS ALWAYS SHALL BE THE BOSS"

And in the darts scene it's

"SHADWELL GONNA DIE, SHADWELL SHADWELL GONNA DIE" X forever.

hope that helps mate

They are singing "shadwell, going down. shadwell, shadwell - going down."

basically in english football (soccer) there's a 4 tier system - so if your opponent team is going to be relegated (typically in the bottom 3 of the league / ladder) then you chant it to make them feel a little more miserable.

you can replace shadwell with most team names or lewinsky perhaps.

I don't think Shadwell the team are "going down" - at the end of the film they've won promotion to the first division.

I think it's more a case of Shadwell's fans are "going down", ie they're going to be getting a slap or two.

reply

no they are singing about the football team because they were going to go down at that point, but that player "jerry edwards" changed their season around and helped gain promotion...the commentator explains it when john is in front of the smashed t.v (having his breakfast with cocaine lol) excelent film!!!

however as i am a birmnigham city fan, i love the way we are in a football hooligan film becasue it shows that we are in most peoples top 5 firms! where is villa??? oh aksi we are in the new film, green street hooligans!! :-)

reply

None of the chants used in the film were anything like real English football chants, with the exception of gonna get your....kicked in. Why didn't they just use genuine chants rather than make up some incredibly embarrassing ones? At least something in this jackonory of a film would have been right.
