Green Street (Hooligans)
What do you think of green street against I.D which is better? I would say they are both on the same level, FF was just fighting, no story or plot.

shareHmm, I think that Green Street was better but I.D is realy good to, better than the football factory. Green Street gets 10/10, I.D. 8½/10, Football factory gets 6/10.
sharegreen streets good? what a crap movie. bad acted, stupid story line. Its a shame for us european people. Im not a hooligan, but haha the hooligans are laughing their ass off when they saw that crap. So did i.
shareI got a copy of Ultras (the Italien film) off Ebay.
It hasn't been officially released on DVD but the quality of the one on Ebay is pretty good (however IMO the film wasn't)
I'd rank the hooligan films:
1. I.D. (right laugh, 'we f@ckin' love you Gumbo')
2. Football Factory (get all those Tinker moments out!)
3. Green Street (some good rucks)
4. The Firm (looks dated)
5. Ultras (distant fifth)
Green street was weak, americanised breeze! you mean to tell me that the true west ham hooligans drink PITCHERS of beer!!! Behave!
Elijah Wood should stick to being a hobbit!

I totally agree with you.
The fact that Elijah Wood is a hooligan is just stupid. And the fact that an American entered a hooliganfirm is just ridiculous, its so stupid and so over the top. Some of my friends say "wow Hooligans is so amazing". I can't believe they say that and i laugh at them in their face. Especially the fact that in the end Claire Forlani is driving to the meeting. Come on, can it get even worse?
ID is so much better. The acting is pretty good, and you see the downfall of a guy who is freaking out in the scene. He is in over his head, and he really thinks he`s part of the scene.
I.D

I liked Green Street, if only for the relationship between the Major and Hatcher. Oh, and Bovver. Those guys played their parts well. The rest of the cast? Weak. American's know so much about football........that they call it soccer.
shareI.D NO CONTEST .
i thought green street was piss poor.
IS THAT AN INSULT ,, ARE YOU INSULTING ME. Darrell--- U TURN
They were both absolute *beep* and nothing like what happened.
At least the firms in Football Factory looked the part, unlike Green St and ID where any decent firm of ten blokes would sort out these so called boys. These two films are so bad they are laughable!!
I can understand some Brits hating on Green Street because it was Americanized and made for North American audiences, but it would be unfair to call it a crap movie because Lexi Alexander did an amazing job with it, it had your emotional scenes, your action scenes and the morals. Even though I.D. is an old film it is not really a classic in my eyes. It is quite authentic, which isn't saying much since it's an ENGLISH film, but neither are particularly better than the other. Both have their merits and downfalls.
shareGreen Street is AWFUL.
That speech that Frodo (whatever the guys name is) gives at the end, something like "I learned a lot, I learned about brotherhood and friendship and standing your ground".
!?
The accents were horrible, everything about that film was just cringe worthy. I mean seriously, if you want to see a decent film about Hooligans watch The Firm, I.D. You will learn far more from Pepper Pig about football violence than Green Street.
The only thing that could have saved Green Street is if it was never made in the first place.
I.D. is a much stronger and much more realistic story, so IMO its a better film. How many young, wimpy American students go to the UK and join infamous football hooligan gangs? But how many (back in the day) undercover police operations took place with cops infiltrating the hooligan gangs? Point made.
