you look at it as a study of a director's perception of racially diverse peoplein a common setting as opposed to a study of racially diverse people in a common setting.

This film should be used in every film class as a study of how a director's prejudices can impact a film's direction and message.

The problem is, he's using a college setting too. This was like some section 8 housing project more than a college.
