As far as the movie is concerned, at first sight I'd knew I would hate this movie. Was just a feeling but after watching it I found it unrealistic and exaggerated. I also found it very bias and bias annoys me, no matter who is directed towards!!!

Why is he pathetic? The movie is about race relations and trying to improve them. Can the movie have been better? yes. but is it really that bad of a film? no. Just about everyone in this film had real issues with race except Mr. Phipps, Deja, Kristen, and Omar Epp's roommate. The movie clearly pointed out that just because of the color of your skin (or sex) you shouldn't feel entitled to anything or expect a free pass. The movie is about 3 young characters learning. Omar lost his girlfriend because of hate, Kristen lost her innocence, and Remy lost his life because of hate. The movie isn't about Blacks being victims of anything it is about the 3 characters being victims. Omar was a privileged athlete (remember when he saw that his tuition was half paid he started training harder) who thought he was entitled to things because of his athleticism and his race. Kristen was a naive girl. Remy was an insecure guy trying to fit in (I don't blame him for his intial feelings about because Fudge and Busta were *beep* to him) remember he was dissed by Fudge and he was alos dissed by the Frat guys that is why he joined the skinheads because he felt like they were his friends.

If you didn't notice that you weren't paying attention the film. And what exactly happened over 200 years ago? Slavery started 400 years ago but it didn't actually end until 1968 with the death of MLK. Which was 40 years ago.
