How did Kristen's rapist know who her roommate was

Referring to the scene where he calls for Kristen after the rape. I don't recall a scene where he meets up w/ her at her room to know that Monet is her roommate.

I loved the scene where he calls her out for being black (due to where it went from there) but still question how it came to pass that he would know that. Please no stupid answers like 'her voice' because I've had ppl assume via phone that I'm Italian or White.

Rewatching now and only connection seen from him and Kristen is just hanging out (via bar/party).

Well, just because we don't see it in the film doesn't mean that he never saw them talking together, hanging out in the dorms, etc. People think just because we don't see it in the film means that it never happened. As an audience we need to assume a few things and suspend a little disbelief.

He didn't know her at all--he could tell she was black due to her voice (and no, there's nothing stupid about being able to tell who's black and who's non-black by their voices,because sometimes you can---that's a fact of life.)

As stated in OP I'm black but people think I'm white when I talk on the phone. Maybe it's my accent or what. Did you even bother reading OP?

Just because YOU don't sound black doesn;t mean that her roommate didn't give telltale verbal indications that she was black. But what a major faux pas if she only sounded like she was black but was actually white. Unless he saw her there really IS no way of knowing. But she used certain inflections that indicated she was black or at least was raised around those who use such inflections.

I mean, I didn;t have to SEE vanilla Ice to know he was white- and I didn;t have to see Ice Cube to know he's black. Vin Diesel? I've seen him and I STILL don't know!
