8.2 rating ?
That seems ridiculous.
shareMaybe they accidentally reversed it, it's suppose to be 2.8, though that's a bit high as well.
shareI think this movie is a 7/10 at best.
I love that we get to see two of our favorite actors together, but something about it just left a bad taste in my mouth. It may have been poorly executed, even if the producers and writers had the right idea.
At least Pacino was funny as hell. "DON'T WASTE MY MOTHERF-IN' TIME!"
There is a lot of hype about the actors ... Pacino, Kilmer, De Niro ... it was a nothing movie, a celebrity production. No reason for this movie to exist as far as I am concerned. Pacino is the most over-hyped actor there is. I think it was done OK, it's just that the plot was silly, and the kind of movie I don't like, these "caper" movies that glorify criminals and criminality.
7/10 is fair.
In the 90s/early 2000s I considered it an 8 or 9 but it doesn't stand up to time and repeated viewings, IMO. With a tighter edit it could've been higher, though.
I agree with the rating just for the action scenes alone.
shareIt's an incredible movie that holds up unbelievably well! So well scripted, directed, acted, and will always be one of my favorite movies of all time.
It wasn't appreciated when it was released. I'm glad today it's getting it's due as an all time crime movie classic.
The rating is low in my opinion. The shootout bank robbery scene is so well done it's just unfair.
Easily in my personal top 15 movies.
