Reminds me 'THE OTHERS'

I wonder if THE OTHERS (Alejandro Amenabar) wasn't inspired by HAUNTED ?!

Ironically, Haunted is based on a book by James Herbert who also produced a novel called Others ( nothing to do with the Nicole Kidman film ) :)

James Herbert also wrote a book called THE FOG, no relation to the 1979 ghost story by John Carpenter of the same title.

I think 'The Others' is probably more influenced by 'The Innocents'

You are right that "The Innocents" begat "The Others." I doubt "The Others" was influenced by this, which had the makings of a good ghost story but went overboard with side plots and special effects in my opinion. 6/10 stars from me.
