So what happens to Renoly Santiago's character Phreak? He's a highly visible supporting character in the first half of the film but then disappears completely once we get to about the halfway mark. I know his character got arrested, but so did the character of Joey, who we do see near the end (I thought the charges against Joey were much more substantial given he was the one who actually hacked into the company network). Was Phreak just some throwaway character used to forward the plot and then tossed to the side once his usefulness was over? Seems like sloppy writing if that were the case.

Good point. The last time we see him is when he's arrested and calls Angelina Jolie's characters to tell her "its in that thing where I put that thing that time"

Then that's it, no closure. I'd imagine he was released once they found out the truth
