Golden Eye on the N64 was so good it won game of the year 2 years in a row(96/97). The remake of the game was so horrible. The game revolutionized console shooters, then halo perfected it.

I was so excited then horribly let down by the crappy remake.

Sorry im waiting to pick up my kids from school and just had gaming on my mind.

Yes golden eye opened up the multi player market from its huge success.

No online...my friends and I would carry this console from house to house in a backpack with 4 controllers.

The single player game was also very fun with the different difficulty levels

Yea the game was hellafun and addicting. I played it for ages without sleep with all my friends around the world.

Then there was perfect dark...

Perfect dark was very cool.

I remember the laptop gun and battling bots in multiplayer

I agree, they really did botch the remake. Goes to show how good the game was that it was still better than the updated remake released 13 years later.
