watched it in Spanish so didn't catch everything... help pls!

I am learning spanish so watch various things on spanish language channel, including this movie, which I ended up enjoying alot.

But... my spanish is not so good yet so did not catch everything... I got it that the David Kieth character was Jody's mom's no-good abusive boyfriend, but not actually her father??? Is that right?

Also, he was after the gold too, but all that ending scene with him chasing her and finding what looked like golden worms was kind of un-clear so if anyone could shed some light on that please?

And lastly, the "Molly" character... was it explained what she was doing in the mountain when she saves Jody? Was she supposedly living there her whole life? I didn't get any of that.

Yes, Ray (David Keith) was Jody's mom's abusive boyfriend. Jody's biological father died when she was 7, she says.

The girls thought the gold glow in the cave was actual gold, only to realize it was glow worms. Ray runs in and sees the glow, believing they are hiding the gold from him, and also discovers it's nothing but worms.

No one but Jody saw Molly, so no one really quite believes that Molly exists or that she was there. Jody believes that woman was the real Molly and she found the gold and was living there in the cave, but none of this is confirmed in the movie. They aren't even sure if Molly was the 'anonymous client' in end, but of course, Jody believes she was.
