Missing part?

I just saw this movie again after renting the DVD. But I noticed it was missing a part I remembered seeing when I saw it on VHS. When he's escaping from the pound at the beginning, shouldn't there be a part where the guy is holding him up and he gets away by peeing on him? Am I imagining that, or is it from another movie? I could have sworn it was from Fluke. Did they remove it for some stupid reason?

Yes, that is in the film.
Must be edit out of the DVD if its not on there.

i recently bought this on DVD after having it for 6 years on VHS. Yes, that part and the part where he pees like a girl, and Rumbo shows him how it is done is edited out as well.

I was disappointed, as I wanted the whole movie and not a edited versions

Well, for what it's worth, I never saw the pee scenes and I can live without them very well...

Exactly. I agree :)

I was wondering about that myself. I thought I remembered when Fluke peed on the guy but I thought maybe I was confused with a different movie. Don't know why they edited it out. The movie is so somber and heartbreaking, those lighter moments of laughter are needed!

Those two scenes, along with a more slowed-down, dramatic version of Tom's wreck at the beginning, some dialouge in the lab, & a slightly more explicit shot of Jeff's car accident (the actual impact), were indeed cut from the DVD, but they were missing from a few VHS copies as well.
This is what I got after searching online (as well as my childhood memories): There were two versions of "Fluke" released on VHS in 1996, with different covers: The original theatrical release, which had the cover with Matthew Modine, Nancy Travis, & Eric Stoltz's faces on the top, the title in the middle, & Fluke at the bottom. This has all the afore mentioned scenes that are missing from the DVD.
The other version had the cover that's the most recognized with the film, which is Fluke with the shoes on (the cover that's on the main page). It has all the cuts that the DVD has.
Therefore, the second VHS version, with the Fluke-in-shoes cover, HAD to have been the source for the DVD, meaning the DVD is not what people saw in theaters in 1995.

I remember seeing this on TV when I was younger-and it was the original one..then I saw the "kid" version a couple years later, and I thought I had gone NUTS. I could've sworn there were some other scenes that made me cry even harder... Thank you for that post.

Is there an original DVD cut out there, yet?
