Who's read the book? was it good and how is it different from the movie?
shareI read it a few years ago and I DEVOWERED IT! It was VERY VERY GOOD! It was different from the movie in many ways, and it talked more about why he came back as a dog, and even just why he came back. It kept me up all night!
I actually finished it in a day.
If you're trying to find the book, try e-bay. That's where i get all my books (at least, all my older books that are hard to find). I got The Incredible Journey and Fluke from there, and even a very early edition of Notre dame of Paris for a very good price.

I thought there was a lot of stuff true to the book .... then a lot wasn't ... but then it was last century I read it .... I was hoping to see the fight with the rat in the junk yard - and how Fluke said he could smell kindness.

I concur, the book is excellent (as is The Incredible Journey)! It is considerably different, too much so to really detail--yet the movie, which is equally awesome, is still faithful enough to it and captures its spirit.
sharei totally agree,its not often the film does justice to the book but i thought this one did,and although i still think the book is better i think they did a cracking job on the film.
