This is by far the saddest movie I have ever seen. ET has nothing on this movie. I can't even watch five minutes of Fluke without wanting to start balling. This movie is wonderful and if you ever need to have a good cry definitely watch it.
yea, seriously. i watched this movie when i was like 14. i go to the video store, see a picture of a cute dog on the cover of soem video, rent it, and then im left bawling the whole night.
another sad movie is The Notebook. but it deals more with romance.
Jason Patric is HOT!!! this was the first movie that ever made me crie and think about my dad who I never met! I cryed through the whole movie nonstop!
You know something? I used to love this movie. I wasn't touched to it to the point I cried, but it had something slightly real to it while being entirely surreal. The characters were believable, the plot was good, it seemed, well, ORIGINAL.
From the buisnessman who strives for money for both the right and wrong reasons, and believes it's really a good friend of his who killed him, and the end- coming to realize how foolish he's been, how he can't live with his son anymore...
The lab scene was one of the most freakish things I remember.
But...I tried watching it again recently, and I COULD NOT STAND IT. It got sick and tiring and I had to leave the room several minutes at a time, bored to death. I didn't even get to the part where the old woman died, or for that matter, when she even got struck ill.
I think it might be a little overrated; although a touching family film, I think it might be aimed more at children. That's my opinion. I can almost guarantee, though, that any Fluke fan chokes up when watching it.
You know, Fred, we always been good pals. But this is the first time we tried going steady. -Barney Rubble
yes. This was a really sad movie. Cried like a baby. I have a dog that look almost exactly like that dog in the movie.
Another heartbreaking dog movie is: My dog skip.
One of the saddest scenes in Fluke is when he is at the sementary and he is trying to show the boy and his wife who he is (scratching at the grave and looking at them the way dogs can)
It just breaks my heart when he does that. Other scenes: When the old lady dies, when rumbo dies, when the dog remembers what happened.
Also, i really love the music. I downloaded it (couldnt buy it from any place)I listen to it often. The movie ET is not as sad as this one.
To see what is sad in My dog skip: see the boards for that movie (dont wanna spoil it here)
Did you download the music from limewire, cause I do appreciate the beauty in the soundtrack they provided. Also, could you tell me if one of the songs on there is Lothlorien by Enya cause everytime I listen to that song I think of Fluke, particulary the scene where he's on his long journey, however I'm not sure if it's the same music or just sounds like it.
Oh my God!!! I thought I was the only one! Listen, I'm not a kid, and I kept crying throughout the whole movie. At one point I thought to myself: "get a hold of yourself! it's only a movie!". I couldn't control it, though. Anyone who has a pet, i guarantee you, went and hugged the life out of it (I know I did). Seriously cried my eyes out all the way. So what if the plot was far-fetched, the feeling was real.
I disagree that its aimed at childre, its more for adult. Children doesnt understand how a father feels, and that is what the movie is all about. The dog is just used to make us sentimental and to feel the message.
This is the saddest movie ever made hands down !!!
ahahaha,i went outside and got my dog and made him lie ryt next to me when rumbo died, and i was crying so hard and i was hugging my dog, i was a mess,basically....another movie with a dog that breaks my heart is HOMEWARD BOUND.....
i watched this film with my girlfriend and she was crying her heart out and i was just saying 'whats wrong with you'. i was so tired after this film, not because it was boring but because i was trying so hard not to cry myself!!! i never cry at any film the only other film that almost made me cry was the mighty, when the handicapped kid died at the end.
i find this film underrated, dont know how anyone can say its over rated.
This movie can't get overrated, even if you give it a 10/10. I just can't understand a human been not touched by things that happened in this movie. Maybe when somebody they love dies, they should come back here and re-vote. Then it'll be 10/10, i guarantee, because, when this movie ended, i went outside, and started to look around, and found out how great things are when you are around.
