Pregnancy never even entered her mind because of her age. I can't say much about her recognizing the labor pains maybe she thought it was stress because Annie was having her baby.
shareEach pregnancy is different. I've heard of some women ballooning up with one, then barely having a baby bump with the next. One lady on I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant had 3 already and gave birth to a full term boy without knowing she was pregnant at all. It happens more than you would think.
shareit happened to a friend of mine in college. She's tall and on the bigger side, so no one suspected anything until the day her son was born. When she went into labor, she thought it was back pain and went downstairs to find some asprin and somehow ended up in the hospital. For years I didn't believe a woman could deliver a ten pound baby and not know she was pregnant, but that show has made me think differently.

The episode of IDKIWP that shocked me the most was the Irish rocker. She only gained 7-9 pounds (something like that), but had a very healthy baby. They showed a picture of her shortly before delivering and she didn't look pregnant at all. That's nuts.
