Probably a stupid question, but when Annie went into labour, how come they didn't just call a cab? I think in the time it took Franck to drag George to the car, and get him in, a cab would have been there in no time? Or am I missing something

Real-World answer: they were so overwhelmed/hyped up/confused by Annie going into labour, they didn't think of it.
Movie-World answer: It wouldn't have been as funny as Frank dragging George to the car and driving them to the hospital.
