Why the long sleeves?
Both Annie and Nina complain how hot it is yet both are wearing long sleeves, doesn't make any sense.

I think it's to show just how unreasonable some of their demands were getting.

I'm a mother of 2, and I completely understand how tiring it is to be pregnant, especially in the summer. BUT, I wouldn't make my husbabnd do EVERYTHING!!! Plus, the poor guy was getting no sleep. You're pregnant, not helpless!!
Oh, and why was Nina too big to get behind the wheel at 130lbs??? I was MUCH heavier than that at the end, and I drove all the way thru both my pregnancies.
Ughhh, irritating. Ok, rant done.
