Painfully stupid part

One of the many parts I found stupid was how right after the babies were born they were both brought out to George. I can understand his child being brought to him since he was the dad and Nina was prob still sedated, but for Annie and her husband to have their child just born and instead of them bonding with it and holding, they whisk it away immediately to her dad. The husband brings it out, perches it precariously in George's free hand and walks away.. Then when his family shows up he goes to it and finally shows interest in his child.

I loved that part- when he held his daughter, then grandson in his arms, I melted.

I agree, it was a nice part and I understand that the movie is based on George's perspective so the part fit but I don't think the timing was realistic. It was their first born child, wouldn't they want to spend more time with it immediately after its birth? It would have made more sense if George got called into the room. Instead they rushed it out to George in the hallway and left him there. Just weird in my opinion.

That, and those babies looked about three months old! Alert and cooing? C'mon now.
