Blood Scene Question...??

U know how Mel Brooks didn't tell Steven Weber about the blood? Well, how did he not know? Did it not say in the skript? Didn't he have an idea that would happen since his character says "There's so much blood!" or did he think that would be one of those camera tricks..? Was that in the skript for him to say..or was it just something he said that they didn't edit out/decided to keep b/c it fit in with the movie...??
***ALSO! I don't get it...what did Lucy mean buy "So are these!" when she was talking about her boobs..I never get that..is it supposed to mean something?***

The script may have been printed like this:

INT. LUCY'S ROOM - NIGHT

Harker and Van Helsing stand over Lucy's coffin. Van Helsing hands Harker a stake and stands back.

Harker drives the spike into Lucy. Some blood gushes out.

Harker: There's so much blood.

So he may not have known the amount of blood.
That's the only thing I can think of.

As far as the boobs.

[Don't remember who]: But, I'm british.
Lucy: So are these.

I see it as comparable with a man grabbing his junk and saying something akin to that.

Just my opinion.

Maybe he ad-libbed that line after all that blood got on him. Too bad they didn't do this joke in that scene-have Harker slam the mallet like in Pulp Fiction where Travolta does the needle through the heart. I think it would've been funnier.

No he knew about the blood. . he just wasn't told of HOW MUCH blood there would be.
