I thought it was great! The acting is superb- Nielsen's best performance (other than Drebin of course!). The strory is actually pretty close to the book- much more so than other more "serious" adaptions. And all the women in it are HOT! it's my favourite post-Spaceballs Brooks film for me.
Wen you watch modern "comedies" like Scary Movie 14 et al you realize how clever Brooks is. This movie is SO much better than most of the crap that's put out today. Love it!

this is boring movie. LOVE Mel Brooks but this is just bore fest. And I do agree that the Scary Movies are garbage...

Nielsen was fine in the role. But here's something you might not know. He wasn't the first choice. Kelsey Grammer was, but the dope turned it down. I would never turn Mel Brooks down.
