do anyone know what it is?
shareIt is called the Hungarian Dance.

Yes, but what -I'd- like to know is the name and composer of the "waltz" that plays as soon as the shot changes to the ballroom scene. I've heard it before, but never have I heard it's name and who wrote it.
shareI think I found it! So in the ball scene, there are 3 songs; the last of which is Hungarian Dance No. 5 by Johannes Brahms. But only that one and the 1rst song are heard in the end credits if I remember.
So I started playing RollerCoaster Tycoon on my cheap laptop the other day and what do I hear? Johann Strauss Jr music on the Merry-Go-Round, which includes mysterious song #1! So it's my first clue. I search for midi files by said composer and tada! Look at

under Künstlerleben Artist's Life Op.316 and we have the song!
thats the song. i also heard it on roller coaster tycoon
shareI think the waltz is part of the 'Blue Danube' by Strauss.
shareNot really, no. I have these two songs on my iPod and the song from the gala is indeed Artist's Life.
shareAs I herd those two pieces of music in the ball room scene and the end credits, has a broadway show feel to it. I thought this movie was so funny enough, to be turned into a broadway musical itself, If "Young Frankenstein" turns out really great as the credits say it is now, and as far as the show runs on in the future, the ratings are up the roof as of right now. I think Mel Brooks should make this one into a broadway show? I think it could be better then the movie, the last couple of years, it was the past 2 vampire musicals did not last that long, Dracula-Frank Wildhorn. Dance of the Vampires-Michael Crawford. I think this one could work? I think if Mel can put some good deep thought, he can put this on stage and setting it right for a good funny musical, I think he could maybe well pull it off with all his knowlege and wisdom and sense of humor and most of all material ideas. I know the movie ratings were not that great, and I know mel does an awesome job, with "Producers" when it came out, and all his other classic movies. so if he can do Dracula, I think he will really go, Transylvania Mania, or should I say when Monster Mania takes over Manhattan. I know in some part of the show Dracula shows up on the soundtrack too, at the end as a Cameo,as a joke. I think that would be a good way to introduce him, for a next up coming musical. I think Dracula could become another great hit, if Mel does it right, and not to mention he can repraise his role as Van Helsing. Now that would be funny as hell. I think it would be as great as young Frankenstien.
shareIt's a piece, not a song.
