Is Antonio wearing a wig in this movie, or is the long hair/ponytail his natural hair? Just wondering.
Seemed real to me. He had long hair in his early Hollywood days I think...

Very likely hair extensions and not a wig, ala Mel Gibson in Lethal Weapon....since his hairline is pretty prominent in several scenes.

shareThere's a recent Robert Rodriguez interview on the blu ray where he says when he storyboarded the second Mariachi movie, he drew the hero with "long hair like Conan the Barbarian." When he casted Banderas, he assumed he would have short hair because it had been short in the couple of movies he'd seen him in so far. I remember Tie Me Up Tie Me Down, I forget the other one he mentioned. Talking on the phone, Banderas said that he'd grown his hair out long but promised to cut it before they started shooting, and Rodriguez said "No no no, keep it long please!"
