Possible Goof - Missing Ship *Spoilers*

I saw this movie when it first came out, and I've seen it over and over again since, but one thing I never noticed until NOW is the disappearance of Governor Ainsley's ship.

When John Reed sends the pigeon to Ainsley, and the Governor shows up on Cutthroat Island and joins forces with Dawg to capture Morgan's crew and arrest Shaw, and then they all leave, there are only TWO ships: Morgan's and Dawg's. But Ainsley would have had to come on his own ship to meet them there, but he leaves on Dawg's ship, and Trotter and Ainsley's men depart on Morgan's. Then, in the final battle scene, it is only between those two ships. What happened to Ainsley's? Did they leave it at Cutthroat Island? Did it go ahead to meet them at Port Royal? Anyone know the answer to this?
