The Best Serial Killer of All-Time
I award this film!
shareIt's pretty good. I saw it for the first time a few years ago and really enjoyed it.
It has an amazingly luscious early 90s feel, which I found very nostalgic.
The best serial killer film of all time? Nah. Se7en is a better film, certainly. For that matter, Zodiac is also a better film. But Copycat is fun and, considering the fact that almost no one seems to know about it, I think it qualifies as a hidden gem.
Okay though Se7en is worthy it has a bit too much catholicism into it and the killer died in a cowardly fashion and it lacks a hidden important element the chase of a hot leading babe.
Zodiac definitely qualifies but seeing how we never really know who he is and his killings are not that impressive and again lack of a flaming fatale.
Funnily enough, I actually agree with you both about Se7en and Zodiac.
In fact, I would venture to say Zodiac was more frustrating than fascinating, because after a while -- especially when it became clear it was a wild goose chase -- the movie fell flat for me by the time the credits rolled.
It was a little like... what was the point?
