Helen Hudson's apartment

First of all forget my poor Englih...

I just wanted to say I love Helen Hudson, I think is one of the best characters played by Sigourney Weaver. I like her intelligence, her look, her clothes, her apartment!! I'd love to spend a few weeks sharing with her that house, playing computer chess, chatting with agoraphobics through the Internet, reading books...

I want to marry her.

Thanks for reading me.

LOL, why would someone wanna do those things with someone that doesnt even exist?

I get it. It's not that he thinks she's real. During the course of the movie she is real, that's how we get into the movie. He's saying that if she were real he would love to do those things in her apartment. Come on, I wouldn't mind being trapped in that lovely apartment for a bit either.

I liked your post but I think her apartment was ugly. Especially the hallway out front. I live in San Francisco and it looks like the exterior building was in the Marina/Fort Mason Area. I think the interiors were a studio soundstage.

All these years I thought it was Nob Hill near Coit Tower. And yes while her place was pretty high-tech for the period, I found the character of a profiler a bit neurotic if not eccentric ...But then again, and after that horrific encounter with Cullum, who wouldn't be?

I recall an interview with Harry Connick on the radio (KMEL?) with radio jock Alex Bennett many years back and he imparted how he used to go around town after a shoot, with his make-up still on - Found it quite fitting for San Francisco. LOL!

Well, I totally understand. The character was a lonely woman and could have used some romance.

Helen Hudson's apartment is on Treasure Island. I remember when they were filming that. I DID NOT know it was Sigourney Weaver! I love her and had no idea she was in the area.
The building is still there but I don't know what it is now. My best friends used to live in the area but I've not been there since 2003.

Hello Steven - Really? I grew up on TI/YBI during the 70's and it never occured to me that outside (EXT) scenes were shot there, however the location credits certainly state: Treasure Island, San Francisco Bay, California, USA (studio) BTW - Which building was it? Was it near the main gate, waterfront, helicopter hangar, or was it on YBI? But then again it's been years since I saw this film and now you've went and forced me to get the DVD! LOL!
