Did Reuben and Helen...

I watched this movie again last night and got to thinking..

When Reuben says he's attracted to Helen and she says "in better times", then gets up and kisses him on the forehead and walks in front of him with Reuben looking at her. Does this mean that Reuben and Helen had sex?

The next scene Reuben comes to the crime scene looking like he'd been out all night with a hot date.. then in a following scene Helen tells MJ to thank Reuben for taking care of her...

Again, does this all mean that they had sex?

Nah they didnt have sex. She said that after he died. MJ said they had a thing and Helen said they never did that he was just a sweet man. Better times meant when she wasnt been stalked by a killer and phobic about leaving her house.

Did anyone actually watch this movie?

There's an obvious attraction between the two but he doesn't pursue it because as he says she is a witness so it would be unprofessional of him.

The saying "in better times" is another way of saying "under different circumstances".
