So this movie is Jurassic Park with gorillas?

It was kinda Billed that way when it first came out.
I remember thinking it might be as magnificent as JP and being very let down.
though I might try to rewatch it some time
I don't remember it being billed that way in as much as audiences just assumed. Quite frankly I saw it in no way comparable.

well , maybe they half assumed ( i did )
but it did have some similarities from it being from the same author ( it even had a double volume novel with JP )
Having the man vs animal theme and probably mentioning JP in some advertising or movie review shows of the time.
i did however rewatch this and yeah its pretty damn average (like it was the first time round ) with some inferior special effects ( Jurassic park effects however were brilliant )
it takes too long to get going and the taking ape was a bit distracting also
it does have a great cast, scenery and overall nice look to the film though.
