false more like 2 hours to get anywhere on a normal day. 3:30am on a tuesday maybe it takes 30 minutes to get anywhere but only if ur lucky. i been in traffic at midnight on weekday on the highway stand still in la before. once i was staying there the day after the holidays and tried to drive out to go to Santa Cruz. it took me legit 8 hours or so before i got into the next county let alone my destination. ended up missing making it to my hostel that night and sleeping in my car in a mcdonalds parking lot since i was much too tired to finish my trip and feared crashing my vehicle. los angeles has some of the worst traffic in the world and probably undisputed the worst in USA for sure. but i only been there in late 2014 and late 2019 so idk it probably was less shit in 1995 but i cant imagine it was 20 minutes anywhere. If u like city living and hate traffic move to Cleveland no that is a city that takes twenty minutes to get anywhere

Absolutely false! I lived in Silver Lake, and worked at St. Joesph’s Medical Centre in Burbank.. it was just over 7 miles and would sometimes take ages. That is why I tried to ride my bike to work as much as humanly possible. I now live in a very small village in England and I do not miss LA at all.. except the food : )

I think she meant "Everywhere in LA that someone like me would want to go is within a short distance".

I think we can safely assume with "LA" she means "Beverly Hills".
