Not the characters, I mean the actual actors. Alicia really seemed like she would rather be somewhere else, when she kisses Paul at the end of the film!
Their animosity seemed realistic during the film, I wonder if they didn't really 'like' each other at all?

I actually disagree completely. The final kiss, just before the credits, Alicia slips Paul the tongue when it is Totally unnecessary.
If anything, one could argue he wasn't as into her since he didn't reciprocate with the tongue in the final scene.

I disagree as well. I know that kiss was wanted by both. With the tongue by "Cher" and the gentle hair-pull by "Josh". One of the best kisses EVER!! lol

shareAw I thought both kisses were sweet, and genuine on their parts. I always wondered if Paul Rudd felt awkward kissing Alicia since he was 8 years older. But they seemed very comfortable with each other at the end

Yeah, they had great chemistry throughout the whole thing, especially their way of fighting/flirting. It's one aspect that makes the film work so well.

The only thing about that scene that bothers me is the kiss, it's kind of clumsy, that maybe was intentional what director wanted but I didn't like it weather it was intentional or not.
