Poor john

Why don't he kill his wife and accuse the monster ? Suzan is the worst wife a man could dream of. Poor guy. WHen he is in trouble she add more trouble. Why does she stay with him if she despise him so much just to harass him and to ruin her daughter's life ?
This have disturbed me more than anything else in the movie. For me Suzan is the real monster here. I hope I never meet someone like that again, even in the bright daylight.

SPOILER!!I felt sorry for John too but you have to take into account, even though it was an accident,it was because he was drink driving that caused his young son to die and his daughter to be blinded.

It was his children too, and he was the one who had to live with the guilt.

I, too, thought Susan was acting ridiculously. Yes, I know that John had been drunk and killed their son and blinded Becky. But if she couldn't bring herself to forgive him and she couldn't stand him then WHY stay with him. She was just torturing him on a daily basis.

You know that Becky sensed the tension and resentment between them. So her staying with John just because was completely stupid.

All throughout this movie I just wanted to slap her silly.

Too bad Giorgio didn't kill her, LOL.

Personally I really felt for BOTH John and Susan. Yes, Susan acted like a bitch for most of the film, but you've gotta look at the subtext. Clearly she was still deeply in love with John on some level, but she felt conflicted because he was also largely responsible for the death of J.J., their son. Part of the whole film is about her emotional arc - going from denial, to anger, hatred, and finally forgiveness when John gives his life for her and Becky. Throughout the whole film she was stuck in a psychological prison, and she just needed an excuse to embrace him again. It's terribly tragic that John's redemption had to come through self-sacrifice, but at least they were able to resolve their emotional conflict, and express their love for each other one last time....

Yeah I was hoping Georgio would kill her. What a massive bitch. She stopped the movie being a cult classic. If she was killed I would definately bump the score to an 8.
