Actors considered to replace Michael Keaton before Val Kilmer and according to IMDB

Kurt Russell - Great choice, could have pulled it off
Alec Baldwin - Looks like Bruce Wayne, great choice, had he not done The Shadow
Keanu Reeves - Would have worked for young Batman in a Year One movie made in the 90s
Ethan Hawke - Heard turned it, but at 24/25 he would have been too young
Ralph Fiennes - Great actor but no
Daniel Day Lewis - No, he's too great of an actor to take this role
William Baldwin - Interesting, could pulled off the raspy choice, but he did end up voicing the character years later, he might be too serious of an actor to star in a "goofy" Batman movie.
Johnny Depp - Strange choice, but he would have made an interesting Batman, but as Bruce Wayne he doesn't have the right charm and Depp is just too quirky.
Tom Hanks - His casting could have gone the same way as Keaton, but I think he seems "too nice" of an actor to play the role.

Don't see Tom Hanks as Batman somehow.
