One Of The Best 90s' Movies

Bad Company did very poorly at the Box Office. And had awful reviews. I think the sex scene angered a lot of people for whatever reason. And the studio afraid of the response, failed to push the movie.

Ya I really liked this movie as well, I've seen it several times and it manages to stay fresh each time. I love the tone that it uses throughout. The way they portrayed the CIA and especially what ex-CIA agents might do for work once they were fired from their jobs with the government was really interesting. It was kind of like a realistic take on the subject. No hipster camera work or cliche dialouge. No over the top bible quoting gunmen, no laughably sinister mob bosses. Nobody doing anything illegal out in the open. Just a bunch of proffessionals who's jobs happen to be grounded in extreme amorality and manipulation.

This movie is a real sleeper, a great flick that really seemed to hit under the radar. It's highly reccomended for anyone looking for a movie that does an excellent job portraying the "Shades of Gray" that make up the real world.

Hi--This movies was outstanding; it was never predictable, always interesting, complete character studies.

What I thought was interesting was that Fishburne's character really thought he would sit next to Margaret (not Maggie!) in the Tool Shed after he took out Grimes. Fat chance! Margaret was single, devoted to her work and she owed too much to Grimes to ever surpass him. She took the quick and most expedient way out by getting Crowe to kill him.

Question: Why did she even consider killing Crowe; don't you think that she should have got back with Crowe and eliminate those two a**holes from the CIA?? What do you think?

Great movie.

Why would they be angered by the sex scene? Because it was an interracial coupling? I just watched this now. The sex scene wasn't that explicit to me, speaking in general. Barkin did a full frontal but for most part she had her clothes on. No boobs showing. Kinda sucks if they were afraid to push the movie, they made it in the first place, kinda stupid not to push for it.

I vaguely recall this coming out as kid but I remember I wanted to see it, seemed interesting. Especially the clip where they show Fishburne throwing Barkin on the office table....I thought that was hot and intense. Not that great a movie, but it was good. It was s little boring though..if you weren't into the characters or actors. I could see why some people would think it is only 3 main characters driving the movie.

i remember this movie because of the excellent humping scenes between ellen and fishburne. no sentimentality, just good, hot mean f%%^ing. i also like where ellen unzips frank lagellas pants and gives him a hand job. she wasnt playing around in that movie.

I hope to see this movie. I think Fishburne plays well in any film he stars in.

My word, is that all really in the film? o_0 Ew. If I get a chance to see the movie, I'll need to skip those scenes because I do not want to view that. It'll change how I see Mr. Langella for a good while.

Ellen Barkin had a nice stretch in the late 80s-early 90s doing sexpot roles. She kind of fell off around the time of this one.
