'I tried it with the hens.' - Pardon me, but that is hilarious!
This movie is such a classic. Talk about subtle innuendo.

shareI agree!
share I had to rewind that one a few times. Just the subtleness (Right over the kiddies heads) and the delivery. Total classic.

I'll always feel, no more than halfway real. Till I hear you sing once more
Been watching this movie on VHS my whole life. Watched it on DVD yesterday for the first time, and caught this line with the help of the subtitles. Classic Ferdinand!
"What I don't understand is how we're going to stay alive this winter."
Oh, gosh, yes! That line just kills me. Funnily enough, I was completely oblivious to its meaning as a kid.
"Courage is found in unlikely places." ~ The Fellowship of the Ring, J.R.R. Tolkien
My god, I choked on a jellybean right then! Lemme tell ya, I had one hell of a time explaining that one away to the Neph... I just told him the funny way Ferdy moved his head caught me off guard. He didn't ask me again, but he didn't look altogether convinced...
