So this film is aparently telling people to be Halal like the Musilims by not eating pigs but saying it is *beep* exceptable to eat other animals just because they are cleaner and healthier.
shareIt's not only Muslims that don't eat pork..... many cultures disapprove of eating pigs and shellfish because they consider them unclean. The pigs for their mud, and the shellfish for being bottom-feeders.
shareI believe pigs are considered unclean because of the illnesses that can be spread to humans, for example trichinosis caused by that particular worm.
But I don't see any religious overtones to the picture, or overtones of ignoring pork, or encouraging vegetarianism. The movie just happens to be about a pig, that's all.
