Classic Storybook That Comes to Life, Don't you agree?

I can't believe I didn't see this before. I always wanted to see it, but lol, I thought, oh no, it's an animal movie, which means it's going to be traumatic depressing, right? Well, lucky us, this movie isn't too bad. It's actually adorable! If you need a cuteness fix, see this. There's some tragic spots which I shall not reveal. It's like any movie where a protagonist has to face a challenge. You know how it is, a non-lead actor has to get sacrificed. So, think of that scene as the actor's big dramatic moment. Um, why am I thinking of Sean Bean? Um, maybe it's the Yorkshire connections? No no, he just seems to face death scenes o' plenty.

If you've seen the Nanny McPhee movies, the settings are identical. It's idyllic to the ninth degree with the quaint picturesque English countryside that is hard to find in modern England (like the whole world, its overrun with cheap modern architecture...Corbusier, I loathe you), unless you're possibly in the Cotswolds, or some other strictly zoned location that aims to preserve the storybook English look of cottages, thatched roofs, tiny farms, gardens, villages, and green hills.

The animal training had to be a fascinating undertaking. How many takes did they require to make this? Ha, ha! I swear the animals personalities were amazing. Obviously they did some of that CGI stuff to mimic animals talking like humans, and as I watched this, I bought it. :-) The emotions conveyed were so good. No wonder, as I looked up some info on the movie, it received a ton of awards! If you've ever opened a book to imagine it springing to life before your eyes, this movie does just that.

Can you tell I loved it? That I highly recommend it? Not too obvious? Great movie. It's only an hour and a half in length. Perfect. This would be expensive to make. If it was made now, it would probably be an animated production. The fact that it's a live action production makes it magical fun.

Come on, everybody needs a daily cuteness fix. :-) Watch this. Then, grab the sequel, which I'm watching at this moment. Adorable!
