There's no way this movie is better than...

Casper, Indian in the Cupboard, Toy Story, or Jumanji. The Saturn award for best fantassy film should've gone to one of those not this.

That's just your opinion. Now don't get me wrong the movies you listed have been some of my favorite since childhood for me. They are amazing. I remember seeing Casper twice in theater and Jumanji at least once in theater. I own all these movies and watch them frequently. But I do actually think that Babe is better then them. But again that's my own opinion.

I'll give you Toy Story, which is one of my favorite films, but Casper and Jumanji are standard at best. Devoid of heart or any kind of nuance. Babe is far better.

Wow, all these family movies are way better than the stuff coming out now. When I look at a picture like Up, it just cannot compare to this.

That's nostalgia talking. Up is far better than Casper and Jumanji, and I was a kid when those came out.

That is just silly. This film has guts and heart. The others are just designed as money makers. Jumanji compared to Babe??? Take your compass back to the workshop mate.

I love Babe and i don't think i could chose between Babe or Toy Story, but there rest don't stand a chance

reply

Surely gotta be Babe. If you love animals this is the film.

But Babe has more appeal for a first-time adult audience... I love the other films, but more for nostalgic reasons.

reply

I never liked Toy Story but that's just me. But to me, Babe blows away each of the movies you mentioned. Casper is one my childhood favs but doesn't come close to Babe.

Surely you jest. This movie is FAR better than any of those.

Toy Story is better, true. But those other films...! Don't make me laugh, son.

Casper (1995) is pretty bad to be honest, it's just one of the many examples of cartoons adapted into live-action for the big screen that didn't translate well. At very best it was probably a novelty for it's time but has aged terribly.
