I love you Arnold xoxo

When I was little, I couldn't stand her! I had always wanted to have a doll house, and the one that Hoggett built was beautiful!

I like the look Hogget gives suggesting he's thinking "I'll keep it for myself then".

Feed the spoiled little brat to the rooster.

I wanted to slap her

I'm not a big dollhouse person myself, and I really wasn't one as a child either, but if my grandfather had made me one...I'd be so happy!

reply

Exactly. The fact he went through all that trouble to make that beautiful doll house would have made me happy.

At the very least the thought my parents would have knocked me out had I acted like that little wench would be enough to control my manners.

Just a realistic portrayal of children.

The world is your lobster.

reply

Yes, realistic portrayal of children lol.

I always found her to be quite amusing. Even though my brother and I were both kids ourselves when this movie came out, we loved mocking her lines..especially the one about the dollhouse. šŸ˜

Oh, my, GOD. Ever since age 8 when I first saw the movie, her hooorrible, shrill shrieking and unbelievably ungrateful attitude teed me off like no other. And I was no angel of a child; Angelica Pickles was one of my favorite characters, as well as Georgette from Oliver & Company! But this brat was just on a whole new level of repugnance...that gorgeous dollhouse that he took such meticulous care in building and painting by hand, and she starts screaming right in front of everyone that it's not the one she wanted. You can't help but wanna strangle her. Sadly, she seems to have the kind of parents who mollycoddle and thereby encourage such vulgar displays of greed and meanness, so it isn't entirely her fault. :P It'd be hard to control your temper well enough to try to get her to rationally understand why it's not okay to pitch hissy fits like that, though, fer sure...

Well I thought that was a strange scene to include in the movie. Perhaps it illustrates why Farmer Hogett took refuge and preferred to commune with his animals. He found them less troublesome that's for certain. However, as a child I could relate to the response the girl had about receiving a "home made" doll house. You see, back in the day I wanted a store-bought Barbie doll house and store bought Barbie clothes. But what did I get for Christmas? Home made crap! Of course the home made items were superior to the store bought items, but how do you tell that to a 7 year old? There's the embarrassment in front of her peers and the subtle implication of not having money to buy proper toys. Imagine if you gave home made "American Girl" doll clothes and accessories to a 7 year old, omg it would be a disaster.

Even for a kid she had really bad manners. Her father should have done his job instead of being so critical of his father in law's affairs. Seriously dude, talking smack while your kid acts like a little *beep*

reply

What a cunt she was.
